It's a relaxing ride to the park. My nieces loved it. Spent the day at fort Lincoln and they fell asleep on the ride home. It was a pleasant ride. Something all the locals should do!!

Took the slow train to Ft. Lincoln. Very nice casual ride through the trees and across a couple creeks. Very scenic and enjoyable experience. Can get off at Ft. Lincoln, visit there and get back on and travel back. Great way to spend a summer afternoon.

I grew up in Bismarck and this trolley has always been a highlight. The ride is 30 minutes one way. You can park at the station in Mandan and ride into Ft. Lincoln or park at Ft. Lincoln and ride to Mandan. The trolley cars are historic and open air. The ride itself crosses two bridges and offers views of... More

My sister and niece from California and myself (from Bismarck) decided to check out the trolley. We went on a Friday afternoon. When you get there, the parking is limited. I would recommend getting their early. Then there is a walk up a flight of steps - it's pretty steep. You will go inside the little booth and purchase your... More

The trolley to Ft Lincoln is a great way to spend an afternoon especially with kids. The trolley cruises through a very rural area, next to a river and over 3-4 bridges most of the bridges are over 100 years old. This is an open air trolley that shuttles visitors to two stops at Fort Lincoln. This is a good... More

Took trolley from Mandan to Fort Lincoln State Park with a group of 10(adults and kids). Lots to see including the Heart and Missouri River. Cost was $9 for adults and 5 and under were free. Well worth the fee for the 9 mile trek. Cross over three bridges and glide through the trees and brush lining the tracks. The... More

The information brochure we had said running every day between Memorial Day and Labour Day. No it is not. Check whether it is running on the day you want before you go.

Ok. So it really isn't a train... My friend and I enjoyed riding the trolley over the 4th of July weekend. It was a nice little trip. Thru the woods, along the Heart River, and over three bridges. The trolley goes out to Ft Lincoln where you can get off and explore if you'd like or just stay on for... More
