This would be of special interest to people of Eatsern Europe, especially Ukrainian decent. Wonderfull display of late 1890 settling in Alberta, and people cmoing through the early 1900's. School, church, small town display. Step back in time and see how the early settlers lived and survived the early years.

This is a stunningly beautiful place, 50 kms east of Edmonton, just on the eastern side of nearby Elk Island National Park (meaning you can visit both attractions in a day). The parking lot is well organized, and the visitor centre is spacious with a great gift shop. We like walking, so this park is ideal, with roads looping through... More

The buildings and interpreters are good. The food and drinks are completely overpriced. I was glad we brought our own waters, because they charge $3 per bottle of water. I recommend you bring a picnic lunch, and do not forget your own water bottles!

Visited in the fall. It was beautiful with the trees in fall colour. It was less busy since it was off season which was nice. The staff dress in costumes and help create a feeling of going back in time. Well worth a visit!

Live taking my out of country relatives here. It is a great place to spend the day walking talking and listening to a fascinating history of how the Ukrainians first settled here. Gift shop is great and if you like Ukrainian food or have never tried it they have a kiosk there that offers a great taste platter. So you... More

This re-creation of the lives of the Ukrainian homesteaders and farmers is so informative. A very good tour with a knowledgeable guide is available. Most of the staff are from the area and this is their history of their families and conveyed so well. Staff in period dress are in many of the buildings. Informative signage is throughout the park.... More
