One of the most beautiful hikes I have ever done. It is a strenuous hike but the views are well worth it.

This is a lovely park, but is about 45 minutes away from Nelson. The salmon were spawning so we saw them swimming upstream in a small area of the creek. Bears were feeding on them in another area, so parts of the lookout points were closed for safety reasons. The beach is lovely but the water is glacier-fed, so it... More

A nice 4 hour return hike with the kids. Almost didn't make it out of the parking lot as we spotted a bear cub just a few minutes into the hike. We retreated to the parking lot, and waited to join another group before leaving as the mother was nowhere in sight. Very beautiful hike. Would have loved to continue... More

They have recently been purchased by a southern BC First Nation. Hoping for some improvements though service good. Main pools were crowded on his rainy day. Too many children being their active selves. An adult only pool would be great and a bigger hot pool.

What an amazing place for a hike. It is like the land of waterfalls on the approximately 3 mile slog uphill to Kokanee Lake. Water anf lush forest greenery in all directions leading to spectacular mountains. Even in August the wildflowers were in full bloom. Beautiful vistas in every direction. We started at Gibson Lake, which itself is quite lovely... More

Aside from the stunning vistas, lush alpine, and sweet mountain air, the real success story of this hike was that my daughters (aged 8 and nearly 5) loved it! We did the hike to Kokanee Lake and back - 9k in total. There was so much beauty that my kids were engaged throughout. I will say that the 16km of... More

Loved the trail with trekking guide. I was inexperienced but found (with the guide's help) an exhilarating hike with beautiful views at every turn.
