The RIVER SAFARI is an unforgettable and awe-inspiring one hour ride through Grizzly Bear Valley, located in the picturesque Monashee Mountains of British Columbia, Canada. In the heart of the world's only inland temperate rainforest, our specially designed, eco-friendly boats will voyage through the mountains' glaciers & jade-coloured waters in search of bear, moose, eagle and osprey, only a few of the magnificent creatures we see during this breathtaking Canadian wilderness experience! You can also join us for an incredible Jeep Safari, we take passengers on our 4*4 off-road Jeeps for another "Amazing Hour" to the mountains' peaks! Experience first hand the intimate adventure of seeing, touching and tasting the foods and habitat of the bears in this unique rainforest. Combine your hour on the River with our Jeep adventure for a SUPER SAFARI! Duration is approximately 2.5 hours.

We went on the river safari at the end of May 2017 and at this time the river was very high so there was no beach area where bears would normally venture onto. So apart from an Osprey nest and an Osprey, we didn't get...More

Worth doing - great commentary - get in the first boat if possible because by the time the others r there the bear has 'moved on'! Scenery beautiful too. We saw three bears but that's all.

We booked a Jeep as well as Boat Tour. The guides Debbie and Jemma were super nice and shared lots of their knowledge. We saw 7 bears and had lots of fun. Highly recommendable.

One must remember that this type of attraction cannot guarantee that you will see a bear! That's to be expected when viewing animals in their natural habitat. That said, we considered ourselves extremely lucky with one bear sighting on our river safari and then two...More

We were told at one of the visitor centres that this was a great trip and certainly it's a superb, comfortable wildlife safari by river in a modern boat. The guides really know their stuff and genuinely do their best o make sure passengers see...More

Difficult to say. You need some luck. We were there half October. Late in the season. We could still track down one bear and come fairly close to it. I'd say August would be the best month statistically.
