This lighthouse is claimed to be the most photographed in the world. It is a must see on Campobello Island and can only be reached at low tide. The journey to the lighthouse is an experience in itself!

We toured the island ourselves and this was one of our stops. Tide was in so not able to walk to the lighthouse. Still worthwhile to get out and walk some of the trails for different views. If planning to visit to walk over during...More

Not easy to get to but the views are spectacular! The water is tidal so you can see the rock formations as well. The sad part that the lighthouse is closed and you cannot get to the top as you can do at the Fredericton...More

I visited this beautiful spot today at low tide. I had the place to myself. The walk to the Lighthouse took me about 15 minutes each way and the rocks were very slippery. Everything was covered in seaweed and barnacles and I slipped more than...More

Iconic lighthouse that is only accessible by foot at low tide. Even at high tide the visit here is worth it to see sweeping views of Passamaquoddy Bay with it whales, seals, eagles, and boats. A great place to have a picnic lunch from Family...More

We visited when the tide was high, so we couldn't walk over to the lighthouse. But the views are spectacular, both at the point and on the road on the way out. Well worth the drive.

We love lighthouses! This one has a most beautiful view AND if you arrive during low tide, you can walk across to it...if not...you can just view it from the other side as we did. When we visited, a lady was there in her chair...More

The natural beauty of this spot must make it popular with travelers in the summer. It was nearly deserted in September which gave us an excellent opportunity to do some great bird watching. Dramatic cliffs and rocks.

This older lighthouse is a bit of a challenge to get to but it is well worth it. The small lighthouse keepers cottage, the climb to the light room and the views are quite spectacular. The whales and dolphins nearby was an added bonus. Thoroughly...More

Semi- pro photographer visiting 1st time late Sept. Really want to photograph this lighthouse but not sure our knees will make for the crossover during low tide (judging from the reports, but we are not faint of heart) Are there any really good vantage points on Campobello to photograph the lighthouse without crossing? Can it be photographed from a tour boat nicely? If so which one? Thank you!

You can walk across. Wear good shoes, yak tracks and perhaps a walking stick. The first field of boulders is the worst. I am 59 and did it 2 weeks ago. Beautiful views from the parking lot, or walk out on the trails from the... More

I would say you have about 2 to 3 h total or roughly 1.5 h on each side of low tide. If you get over to the lighthouse, the staff will give you about a 20 minute heads up to start thinking about heading back. It's only... More
