We just happened on this county museum, and we were pleasantly surprised at how well organized and informative if was. It is hard to say what I liked best, the buildings themselves or the displays inside the buildings. For Canadians, the information on Richard Bennett, a local boy made good and the prime minister between 1930 and 1935 might be... More

This was a very interesting place to visit. Lots of artifacts to see. Be prepared to spend time. A few pi c nice tables are available if you want to bring a picnic lunch. This place is just outside the Hopewell Rocks and a great place to visit between low and high tides if you want to remain in the... More

I don't think I have ever been to a local museum which has had more info, more beautiful buildings and more heart. Much of the history revolves around RB Bennet the PM during the great depression, but the buildings also include the original meeting hall, "Gaol" and Albert County Courthouse. The courthouse has to be one of the most beautifully... More

Really enjoyed our visit to this museum. The displays were good and enjoyed the talking displays. Learned a lot about RB Bennett PM and all that he did and really was not credited for. Glad we stopped here.

We were guided by a young local, Max, who was patient with our many questions. Spent 2.5 hours and enjoyed every minute. Learned tons about R.B. Bennett. Make sure you watch the well-made video on him.

The museum complex contains six buildings. Each of them has either a number of interesting artifacts or is an appealing building to look at. The court house is quite an attractive building. The R. B. Bennett display, although small, convinced me that the man has been short-changed in terms of history's evaluation of his term as prime minister. The gaol... More

James, a local young man, gave us a wonderfully informative personal tour. This was included in the price and worth asking for. You’ll appreciate the site and displays much more because of the guided tour. Driving by, the fairly modest seven buildings (that remain on their original locations) hide the riches of displays and professional museum-quality videos that educate and... More

The Albert County museum has a collection of items showcasing the history of farming in the area as well as what life was like 100 years ago. There is also an outdoor market with fresh, local produce and crafts as well as cob oven pizza here every Saturday during the summer months.

Today my wife and I decided to check out The Albert County Museum in Hopewell Cape, NB, Canada. It was the seat of government for Albert County before Canada decided to use the Provencal system. There were eight original buildings in their original locations, everything from the beautiful 1904 Courthouse to the tax office still full of tax records and... More

We checked out a few museums on our trip. This museum had a variety of buildings to look at and allowed you to get up close to some of the artifacts. But there was no one around to ask questions in the various buildings plus it was the most expensive rural museum we visited. Also if you are in a... More
