A must tour trail!
Sep 2019
Bonavista trail has lots to offer to all ages with easy driving and is probably the most scenic., but "Home cooking" strle. In season, June/ july you will see puffins and icebergs, we aere a little late for that, but the views and people were terrific. Hiking trails galore and a visit to the lighthouse a must!
Easy eating, modest, home cooking style.

AN APTLY NAMED ROAD
Sep 2019
I suspect its derivation had to do with Cabot's 'discovery' of the area in 1497. The road is an enjoyable journey taken to Bonavista and Trinity. There are small villages [maybe just hamlets] you pass through, the Atlantic Ocean a steady companion for much of it. It has enough twists and turns to remind you or a rural highway. There are umpteen places you could stop for photographs.

scenic drive
Sep 2017 • Couples
This loop offers many beautiful little towns, lighthouses, root cellars, hikes, restaurants and scenery. Plan at least a day. More time when the birds, icebergs and whales are there. The roads can be challenging with their potholes. We were there in late September and many sites were closed.

Excellent scenic drive
Jul 2017 • Friends
There are numerous places of interest along this scenic drive. Highlights for me were Trinity & English Harbour, two beautiful well-kept communities with many old, brightly colored, homes. Elliston & the puffins. Port Blanford and the drive along Clode Sound. We saw amazing icebergs in Tickle Cove, Red Cliff & New Bonaventure. Only caveat is drive carefully as the roads are horrendous in many, many areas. A must-do! We were lucky and were able to spend 6 days on this drive and could have spent a few more to do more hikes.

Awesome Drive
Sep 2017 • Couples
This was an amazing drive but no cell phone service! Many sights to see. However go in July to see the puffins. We will be going back. September wasn't a great month, but still worth the drive.
