The walk was shorter (and steeper) than expected. In late August the trail is lined with blueberries. If you're a photographer, make sure to bring your camera!

A great way to spend an afternoon. Enjoyed swimming and the entertainment and snacks. Lots of space to lounge too.

This was my favorite place to go as a kid, maybe since I was 4 years old. Lots of summers I'd get a day here. I have been trying for 10 years to get back with my granddaughter and finally did today only to find....no water! What a huge disappointent! Not knowing what to do after building them up about this place, we went for a little walk around, found a geocache and told them to at least step in and get their feet wet. They made the best of it anyway. Looks like a lot of work has been done here since my last visit and would have loved to see it in operating condition.

The photo shown at the top when you search this park is actually a view from George cove mountain. Not the park! The park is located on the holyrood access road and the mountain is on salmoneeir line. I will attach a photo of the swim park to make it clear.
This swim park is great to enjoy on a hot day, with friends, family, kids, it's great for everyone. It has parking, but it's reverse parking only, and that's for the safety of yourself getting onto the road without getting hit. There is a charge on the front gate but all money goes back into making the park better (or that's what it used to be for) cash only! They have a children's pool made! It's grassy, so it's comfortable to lay down on, you can bring your own chairs if you'd prefer to sit than lay down, there's also picnic areas, and bathrooms! There is also a very nice canteen close to the bathroom where they sell snacks, and lunch items! Floats are usually not allowed unless you are further away from the damn, it's a risk. And there are no dogs allowed in the area, sadly, That's the downside. They have a wooden walkway all the way up to the canteen and bathrooms from the entrance and then around the far side of the swimming area! They have lifeguards on duty aswell!

Beautiful, neat and tidy park. It was off season when we stopped by but we walked to a nearby trail, George Mountain! Beautiful.

A very nice swimming park and picnic location in an out-of-the-way place. Recently had extensive renovations and improvements, worth the trip.
