If possible, listen to a park ranger give an introductory talk about the lighthouse and the family that lived here. It is very informative as are the rangers. There is a short hike down to the beach.

Good sea views, attractive lighthouse, with staff available during most of the day, to explain the exhibits (and on our visit, set up mini karaoke sessions singing along to sea shanties!). Watch out for the black flies on this bit of the coast - they...More

This was an interesting place to visit. Great site for ocean view pictures. The staff were very friendly and even showed me how to play an ugly stick.

Not only does the site offer wonderful views, but the exhibit inside the lighthouse is well worth while. A must visit while in Rocky Harbour.

Great stop at a very neat lighthouse. There is a guide available 9-5 with a guided tour available in the morning. There are a few trails to wander around and a nice beachfront to explore.

We were taken to Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse with our tour group. The lighthouse sits on a BEAUTIFUL location with mountains and oceans behind it. My kids loved climbing on the rocks and there are trails around the lighthouse. Inside, we were greeted by the...More

The main reason we visited this site was for a special Canada 150 event in the evening with Newfoundland folk singers. This event was great because it was an emersion into the life of the times. We had a chance to check out the exhibit...More
