Filled with renditions of popular Newfoundland and Labrador songs and tunes, sprinkled with one-liners and wit and occasional display of culture, this group of five has become one of the most widely-attended acts in the whole province. Almost by accident, and practically overnight, the ANCHORS AWEIGH band has found its way onto the list of "things-to-do" for local residents and visitors alike.

If you are in Rocky Harbour you have to take in the Anchors Away performance. An enjoyable evening of Newfoundland humour, stories and plenty of songs. Belly aching laughs and good music. The pub fills fast so reserve your seats.

We were told at the beginning of our trip that we must make reservations to see this show. We are very glad we listened to the other travellers we met. They are incredible!!

These musicians were excellent. They could sing, play multiple instruments and tell stories. It was an entertaining evening. We especially liked the way they played a song that meant something to the guests in each province and guests from other countries. So good! We were...More

Unfortunately to see the show you MUST be there 2 1/2 hours before the 8pm show to secure a seat even though you pay in advance. Makes for an uncomfortable night and takes away from the show. It's a bit pricey for local talent. The...More

These musicians are gifted entertainers. They carry you away with the wonderful music, while giving a lively, running commentary on the history and culture of Newfoundland.

I was skeptical of this entertainment because I dislike corny humour. I could not have been more mislead by my first impression; the show was fantastic. It seems all the info centres endorse this bunch of talented men and you won't be disappointed by the...More

These guys have been together for years, and it shows - a nice act featuring a good mix of old favourites and some you won't have heard before. It's a little overamplified for the size of the room, especially if you are in front (and...More

The entertainment here is top notch. The group does a great job of playing and promoting Newfoundland music. They welcomed everyone from all over the world and did it in an entertaining and often humourous way. The act is 3 hours long and it goes...More

Our second round of drinks never did arrive. Overheard they were having staffing issues. Nice view. Average pub. Lousy atmosphere.
