It is one thing to walk around town and try to imagine what is was like and how it came into being. It is a much better experience for your time in Trinity if you take the time to walk around with a local historian. It made our experience so much better in Trinity that we understood the lives of... When you get to Trinity it looks a little like a hundred other places you see in Newfoundland/Labrador. But Kevin (the guide) brings the history of this fantastic little corner of the world. Through a combination of recorded music and words and his background knowledge of the area, you really see Trinity at its height as a world class port... More

Kevin is the essence of Trinity. He was very knowledgable and interesting. He had so much information he wanted to share and talked with speed and passion. He made Trinity come to life for us. Well done, Kevin.

Love the history, of Newfoundland, Trinity, and the local people! Great information, and we really appreciated not just the walk and the sites, but the audio and visual illustrations along the way. Newfoundland is changing - fast - it`s time to go and visit!

This was such a treat! I didn't book in advance so we were so glad to get into the tour. Kevin is so knowledgeable about the area and the time just flew by. Trinity is lovely and historic but doing the tour just added so much to our visit. Really excellent tour.

One of the best tours I have ever taken. Kevin Troope is knowledgable and well-prepared. He made the wonderful little town of Trinity come alive. We shared the heyday of a once important shipping port, learned about the townspeople and the seamen who wandered her streets in days long past along with more current aspects of Newfoundland's history. This is... More

Ended up in Trinity late in day but was able to visit a few buildings and see the artifacts. Very interesting. Quaint town. Worth the walk around. Need at least a couple of hours to take everything in.

Your review does not apply to Trinity Historical Walking Tours. My walking tour is a 2.5 hour guided historical tour which only occurs at 10AM. I am glad you enjoyed Trinity and I hope you return and take the tour at a later date. More

For just $15 you get a two and a half hour walking tour. Kevin's vast knowledge of local and NL history combined with his lived experience as a Trinity local and his brilliant use of audio tapes and photos to augment his commentary provide for a "can't miss" experience if you really want to understand life in a NL fishing... Hearing Family stories, listening to historical voices through readings from journals and interviews and court records, seeing photographs of past and present and walking to and viewing restored houses and sites all contributed to a very informative tour today. Kevin's interest and passion for his community is compelling. A friendly, informative and worthwhile experience. Highly recommended.
