Best beach on the island

Such a beautiful beach, clean, lots of waves, popular with the locals, travel a dirt road to get to beach

Beautiful beach nestled in a cove with rock cliffs. Waves crashing to shore and a great experience in nature. Can be cold on some days tho.

After a visit to the Fort, we tried to find this beach, and had a little difficulty. We ended up just following the road to the Fort and just passed the fort is the start of this beach. We stopped at a small beach just before the larger one. They are separated by a bit of rocks and this is... More

So I checked here prior to visiting this beach and boy were some of the reviews way,way off! Yes it us super beautiful. Lots of sand. Secluded so not busy at all. All of these things are true. The drive to the beach, from what I read, was way off! The road is a dirt road but very smooth. There... More

It was a beautiful quiet beach . When we first got there, the big black bugs literally chased me around. Got some nice big bites on my neck . Bug spray definitely helps . Just wished I put it on before the walk to the beach. Besides the bugs it was definitely worth it .

visit Kennington Beach , there are a couple of beaches in the area that are great for a swim or just a stroll along the beach , also a walking trail....just keep driving past the fortress road and go down the dirt road about a mile and you are there , another place you need a camera...enjoy folks....

Bit of a bumpy road to get here but well worth it. Was a beautiful beach with two bays. Was a warm day but the water was still freezing. A few brave souls were swimming. Bring your chairs and relax. Relax people.

I"m so glad the lady at the visitor center recommended this trek off the beaten path. We where there on a beautiful sunny Labor Day. Very busy but we were able to get parking. Many locals there spending the day at the beach. Spectacular views.

Magnificent beach. It's worth the drive to this out of the spot, dont let the dirt road deter you. It's w wonderful picnic area and relatively easy access to the beach. Although if you have mobility issues the beach may prove a challenge to access. However the view of the ocean, rocks, and beach are worth the trip.

We drove along here after visiting the fortress, more for the historical connections than anything else. The weather was bad so we didn't linger but on another day it might be a nice place to spend some time.
