Great food and atmosphere

I have family in the area, so during the season we frequent the shoe at lease once a week, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. Leave room for dessert.

Went for dinner, and also had dessert. Service was great, food was beyond amazing, would go back in a heart-beat! We got the banana split for dessert, which I was hesitant on because it is a very fancy take on it, but it was beyond delicious!

Stopped here for lunch on recomendations from friends.Fairly quiet for lunch. We all ordered the seafood chowder and 2 orders of fries.Chowder was good but a little more watery than some, flavor not as intense as some we've had but better than a lot of others.Quiet dark inside.Good helpful friendly service.Certainly worth a try.

Stopped in the Red Shoe Pub last Wednesday night & were treated to three young musicians entertaining us with a fiddle, guitar & a 3rd instrument that I can't name - so much fun. In addition, the food was the excellent and beyond what you usually get in a pub. Don't miss going to the Red Shoe Pub when you're... More

We fortunately arrived about 5:00 before there was a real crowd. There was no room in the main dining area but where we sat out in an enclosed area was cooler and less noisy once the music started. The menu was pricey but I had a delicious seafood mix on a bed of seasoned and sauced rice with a lightly... More

A must stop when in Mabou. Came highly recommended and it delivered. You gotta try the banana split dessert, it's fabulous!

This place feels like a "must-go" for visitors to the area. The food was great (LOVED the BBQ pork fries with sweet potato fries, pulled pork and green apple slaw!). We ate out on the patio because there was no room inside and was afraid we'd miss the live music, but they piped it out to the patio. And since... More

We had a great experience at the red shoe last night. My wife had the seafood chowder..which was so delicious. I had the fish and chips.. Also delicious. The jam session was very cool and the atmosphere was great. It was such a nice cultural experience for us and will definitely recommend to others.

A nice place to eat dinner with some local music and good food. Local seafood, as well as home style non-seafood. Good service and attractive casual decor. A nice surprise in this small but attractive community.
