Ok, so maybe a warning... it's beautiful and we always want pictures with the ocean in the background... but the edges drop 100's of feet to a rocky bottom where you will land and break limbs or die. High tide and you'll probably bang your head on the way down and drown. So after that little disclaimer... I leave Halifax... More

My mom and I hiked Cape Split after our B + B recommended the trail on a visit prior. It was absolutely breathtaking- a fun and pretty easy hike. The hike took us a little under 1 1/2 hours each way. (We went at a pretty good pace and this also included a few stops for photos as we got... More

This is a great walking trail that offers views over the Bay of Fundy when you reach the end. It is a long hike, allow a half day, and bring water and food as there are no concessions once you start out. Be very cautions as you walk as there are roots and animal burrows all over the place. Be... More

Well marked trail with super views at the end of the journey - bring along some food / drinks and you have a wonderful picnic opportunity. You need to be in reasonable shape to make the trip but it is more about endurance than trail difficulty or climbing.

Me and my girlfriend stumbled across this walk by accident. We arrived late so could only do a small part of the walk. Will definitely be back.

A lovely hike with a magnificent view at the top! Well worth the effort of a long climb (about 3 hrs both ways).

What a well-developed trail! This hike is approximately 1.5 hours each way with a newly constructed outhouse 1/3 of the way into your journey. When you reach the end you will be surrounded by water and standing about 70 feet above sea level; absolutely breathtaking! This is a rare experience that you should discover.

We enjoyed this hike but we were prepared for it to take at least 3 hours - and it did. Wear suitable clothing and footwear. Watch your step as there are constant protruding stones and roots. You really do have to watch every step. Some uphill work and a few slightly muddy spots. No bathroom along the trail in mid-October.... More

Hiked the Cape Split trail for the first time since high school. A relatively easy hike, with the right footwear, and a great day out with the family. The view at the end is spectacular.

We did this hike on a beautiful Saturday. We started at 10:25 a.m. and finished at 2:15 p.m., this included a stop for our packed lunch. According to the map at the start of the trail, this hike is 13 km long RT (8 miles). Of course, when you get to the tip of Cape Split, it is an absolutely... More
