Even if you are not very "crazy" about rocks and minerals, stones and fossils... you just must visit this nice place... For a little while you become a digger, a discoverer of hidden in rocks and under the ground little miraculous treasures... such as: petrified trees, dinosaur's prints or their parts... minerals containing iron, gold, silver and other metals.... It... More

It is not easy to get into this shop. It is mostly CLOSED rather than opened. On Sundays it is closed. On working days they close at 18 00 or even during the day... So if you get in, you are lucky. The shop is all upside down, they obviously need some order and to clean the windows!!! There is... More

Drove 2 hours from Halifax while in town from Calgary and after visiting the Geological Museum, headed right to this interesting store. However, they didn't seem too interested in having us. The first time we went by, the door was locked and a sign on the door said "back in 10 min" so we waited....and waited...and waited. After 25 minutes,... More

this is a great place to stop and see the different Rocks and rock collecting supplies available here. The Place is a little worn and Dated but it has a lot in it to look and browse.

Nice spot to stop with children in order to get an understanding about the Bay of Fundy and it's geology.

This is another hidden gem on our journey. The owner of this establishment is quite charming and full of amazing stories of rock hounding and local lore. If you want to know anything about local geology or fossils, this is the place to go.

I had read that the place opens at 9 am and the kids were so excited to visit. Unfortunately, the person running the museum changed the hours and now doesn't open until 10 am. There are tables outside with many kids of rocks to look at but after 15 minutes, we had to leave. The children were very disappointed.
