Stunning trails and great facilities! We stayed in a yurt that was well maintained. Washroom facilities were quite impressive as they were constantly being cleaned although try not to go to the washrooms early in the morning as they do clean them extensively and it may cause quite the line up. It can get quite noisy at night as the... More

The wildlife in this part of the province is spectacular, including some very rare species. A very pleasant way to spend a day with nature.

My boyfriend and I booked a yurt in February2017. The yurt was spacious, clean, warm and the park is so big that it has a lot to offer during all seasons. Our yurt site was rated as good privacy on the website however because all the leaves had fallen for winter it wasn't as private as we had hoped. The... More

We managed to book a yurt here at fairly short notice, and stayed for what turned out to be a stormy weekend in late November, complete with rain and snow. The yurts are very nicely set up with a covered area and bbq outside, inside there are some shelves for storage and an electric heater. While the weather was horrible,... More

Went with friends for a winter getaway weekend, the yurt was very spacious (there were five adults in our yurt and we had room to spare) and cozy! The furnace kept all of us nice and warm! The scenery is beautiful, and it's a great area to go on hikes and see Canada's natural beauty! The skating trail is a... More

We stayed in a yurt for four nights! Beautiful provincial park. Chickadees eat birdseed from your hand and there are nice hiking trails as long as you dress well for the cold weather. We had a very cozy yurt and the kids had so much fun playing in the snow.

Well organized bike and hiking trails, several shoreline access points, wonderful pond for viewing aquatic life and waterfowl, visitors' centre, boardwalks, some yurts for those who don't like to tent, well maintained comfort stations and the best Birding Festival around in late May and early June.

Great provincial park. We were located very close to the dog beach. We actually swam there. The water was clean, warm and very picturesque good size sites and great water pressure at the showers

I've been here a few times over the years, and it's a nice place to get away for a few days and become better acquainted with nature. It's close to us, as it is about an hour drive away, so it's a nice compromise if you want to get away but not have to go too far or spend too... More
