Nice little place. The shops had some really cool stuff, a lot of it handmade, soaps, home decor (that store is pretty reasonable for pricing), clothes, items by local artists. A little expensive. But, this IS a tourist destination!😃. Some nice eateries.

Unless you hit this during July and August, most places aren't open and it's mainly for eating and shopping. The food sounded good and the shops looked interesting, though not what we wanted. I had expected more information about the historic buildings. Too bad the...More

This is a good place to pick up some Cavendish or Anne of Green Gables souvenirs as well as grab a bite to eat at a local eatery. There's a good selection of restaurants- including coffee, seafood, pizza, baked potatoes, and a chocolate shop. We...More

Every summer for 14 years, we would travel to PEI as we loved Avonlea Village, as it had something there to entertain all ages. The music was fantastic, the wonderful way of how it brought Anne Shirley and all the other characters to life, the...More

Enjoyed the village and browsing around. The lane was a pleasant walk as was the woods. Anne would have enjoyed herself as a youngster

Beautiful village and shops to walk through. We were lucky enough to get a little music show for the kids inside the church when we went there that day.

I plan to visit PEI in mid September. I read from the Avonlea Village website that it would be closed after September 5. Can I still walk through the village on my own after September 5?

I can not say for sure but I don't think we saw any when we were there. It is possible they would be allowed as someone could stay outside with them at all times while others go into the buildings but I would try to call or... More

Has anyone used the off road bike trails by the lodge? I see on the map of the park that the snowmobile trail doubles a bike trail. Thanks!

I am sorry but we did not pay attention to the off road trails by the lodge. However, there is a trail that goes along the ocean and we did see lots of bikers all over. I would maybe suggest contacting the tourist... More
