Local theatre playhouse in the Village of Victoria by the Sea. Shows run all summer long - check out their website for listings. Very reasonable pricing. We were delighted to get tickets to Follow The Fiddler - a narrated walking tour of Victoria. This was an 'outdoor' play - we followed The Narrator, Erskine Smith, and The Fiddler through town and actors came out from behind a building; etc. and acted out a scene; told tales; sang songs. And as we walked away from each scene our narrator said; and now we'll follow the fiddler and as we walked strolled the streets lovely Cynthia MacLeod entertained us with Celtic fiddle tunes. Have never done anything quite like this. It was delightfully entertaining and one of the highlights our our Prince Edward Island trip. Perfect for all ages too!

The play was excellent and it was our second time to the Playhouse and it won't be our last. All the seats are good and comfortable. The sound is perfect for a small place. We saw a terrific play, The (Post)Mistress, by Tomson Highway last month. I bought tickets on-line, in advance, which was easy. The staff were efficient. The sightlines and acoustics were great.

I've been to this charming playhouse in the pretty community of Victoria several times over the years. It is a lovely location and every play I've seen, including the recent The Postmistress, has been well written and performed. There are refreshments out on the patio during intermission and several wonderful restaurants nearby for a pre-show meal. This playhouse is a... More

I attended the opening night of Post-Mistress and the show was wonderful! It is a musical with one actress performing with back up instruments, including the saxophone. The playhouse is beautiful quaint with great acoustics.I am so glad I went to the show!

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on our production of The (Post) Mistress. We, too, are very pleased with this production, beginning with our star performer Martha Irving and her fellow musicians, to the artistic scenic design, lighting and costumes. I hope you are able to return again soon. More

We attended a Sunday matinee performance of "The Melville Boys", and enjoyed it very much. Excellent acting, very professionally done. We are from Ontario, and it was just as good as the Stratford Festival shows. The matinee tickets are cheaper than the evening shows. I liked the staggered seating- it was great not having someone's head blocking my view of... More

We went to see "The Melville Boys", a Norm Foster comedy at this wonderful venue. The seating is comfortable and every seat has a great view. The venue is thankfully air conditioned, great for a matinee on a hot July day. The play was well executed, the young actors bringing the story to life on a wonderful set with great... More

Always enjoyable to attend a production at the Victoria Playhouse. Lovely setting and beautiful theatre. The focus is on the play and the acting, where it should be. Melville Boys was entertaining and well presented. Not our favourite production (Kiss the moon, Kiss the Sun would be) but still worthwhile.

Went to see the Melville Boys at the Victoria Playhouse. It was advertised as a "classic comedy", but I think that it should be advertised as a drama. The seats in row D were excellent. The acting was very good too. It was a very good play, but certainly not the comedy that I expected when purchasing the tickets. Although... More
