Gypsea Divers provided an AMAZING experience for my wife and I. We are both fairly-newly certified divers who were arriving from a cruise ship and Catherine and Abel happily accommodated our needs. The rental gear they provided (at a super-low fee imo) was in perfect working order as was their boat. We were taken to several world-class diving spots where... More

We've dove with Gypsea before, and it's always fantastic. This time there were four of us, two returning customers, and two new. With Catherine and Abel at Gypsea Divers, you're never a customer, but instantly a friend. They are people who have the dive shop as an expression of their love for the sport, and the Village of Mahahual. That comes... More

I have been diving 5 times in a week with Catherine and Abel and it was all outstanding. They are very experienced, very professional and very much fun to dive with. I am an advanced diver (over 100 dives). I went with different friends at different times, sometimes first timers and also with experienced divers, and all the dives were... More

My wife and I took my first time experience here. I am a big guy so I called in advance to see if they could accommodate me and they absolutely could and did! My wife had a little difficulty after taking in some water but they were very patient with her and we certainly appreciated it.

I went for diving and ended as a sweetheart. I am a friendly, openminded person, so i went eating with abel after diving. He started touching me, calling me sweetheart, telling me stories which may are not true, i felt unconfortable. I should have know... When we dived, it already started with sweetie and beauty... As a woman travelling alone... More

Hello stefanie, Thanks for taking the time to write a review about your "bad" story, unfortunatly, looks like you are missing a part in the mexican culture where people call themselfs sweet names And touch each other... Im sorry that you felt uncomfortable with Abel... Maybe you could have told him And not go for lunch with him after diving..???... More

I don't think I can say anything that hasn't already been said. Kathryn, Abel, Lisa..and of course "Captain" (I don't know his name so I just always called him this!) who got us there, out of the water and back safely every day.. The crew were all like family to me after a week of diving. Kathryn and Lisa are... More

We had 6 people on a 1.5hr snorkel trip and had a great time! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The reef area was really nice, we saw multiple types of rays, a turtle, lots of reef fish and healthy coral. We didn't want to get out of the water, so fun.

Great diving, friendly place. What more can you ask? In our party, 2 dive and 2 snorkel. Gypsea arranged a perfect day for us, starting directly from the cruise terminal. Just as I was told, $3/pax cab ride will get you there in a matter of minutes and you’re ready to go. Excellent dive sites. Moreover, Mahahual is a good... More

I had a chance to experience diving for the first time (10D class) ever with Kathryn from GypseaDivers in January 2016. She was so patient, full of enthusiasm and good energy was bursting around her! Very professional and knows all "underwater stones" you meet with your first time dive. Time flew so fast and I cannot wait to come back... More

Had a 1.5 hour snorkel tour of the beautiful Mahahual reef. Was reasonably priced ($20/pp) with equipment provided. Would recommend going to see the reef to anyone staying on Mahahual area as it is one of the most active reefs I have been to for snorkeling.
