I've driven passed the sign for the Tree Cathedral for many years - how interesting could a bunch of trees be anyway. Finally I made the trip. If you go at the right time of year (spring, when the trees are in new leaf and flower) its stunning. The thought behind it is incredible but you do need a map... More

This hidden gem is a wonder - a cathedral made from planted trees .They even have wedding blessings here but just to wander through this amazing sanctuary is calming and so peaceful :)

Its a nice park but dont expect anything too astounding. Not worth travelling to but probs ok to drop by if you are local. Just a large green with lots of trees in....

When I first heard of the Tree Cathedral as a child, I imagined it would be a great Gothic edifice made of trees - it isn't. It is in fact trees planted in the 'shape' of a cathedral. So you have avenues of trees that represent a nave, cloisters, chapels etc Once you accept the idea, it's actually very beautiful... More

I have to admit I do not understand some of the low scores the Tree Cathedral has received. If you study how and why it came about you would find it hard to be critical. I particularly enjoy it in spring, when everything is renewing, and in the autumn as the leaves turn. Visit, enjoy the tranquillity and above all... More

I am on a mission to cover as many national trust locations as possible.. I liked the sound of a tree cathedral and as we were at Dunstable downs, we added this on. Difficult to find, and this site is unmanned. But if you don't have expectations of anything other than beautiful spiritual woodland scenery this is worth a visit..... More

With close proximity to Whipsnade Zoo, The Bellows Mill and The Downs visitor center this is a nice walk in the country, as a youngest we came here with my church for Easter.

Tricky to find, you could easily miss it. Access road very pitted, car park small and crowded. In a complete huff by the time we got here. Soon chilled out. The actual site is very beautiful and well worth a visit. Remarkably peaceful and still growing for the future. I remember reading a quote that said something like "world peace... More

Walked here from the Chilterns visitor centre. Easy walk but not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchair s. Such a peaceful place, bigger than I expected. Lovely layout and at one with nature.
