The Angles Theatre in Alexandra Road, is a lively and vibrant Arts Centre housed in a Georgian building with a theatrical tradition stretching back over 200 years. Built in 1793, it remained in use as a theatre for just over 50 years, since when it has had a chequered career as a school, a tent maker's and the Town Library. Live theatre was reintroduced about 20 years ago and its intimate 112 seat auditorium brings to Wisbech, some of the best professional talent in the country, from musicians and poets to dance, mime, comedy and Theatre Companies.

Watched this local group put on a performance of Jekyll and Hyde. Excellent use of a small theatre of about 100 seats. Drinks prices were reasonable and bar roomy.

Where to start? Beautiful theatre, good free parking yards away, well stocked bar with sweet snacks for the show and great bar staff! The show was brilliant! Hilariously funny, emotional and the singing was exceptional from all of the cast. Franz deserves a special mention for the leotard alone! Would definatly go again.

I have been to many shows at the Angles and enjoyed them all. The theatre is small and compact but all seats are close to the stage and have great views. Every show i have seen has been fantastic, the local players and youngsters put everything into each show and realy enjoy it. I have been to bigger theatres and... More

Intimate Theatre. Saw local actors who were excellent and very entertaining. Only downside was route to the toilets.

This is a nice looking building from the outside but the auditorium itself is like sitting in a garage, dark and dingy with no discernible period features. The seating is steeply banked, the seats are threadbare and I noticed several had armrests missing. Having said that there are no problems viewing the stage and the acoustics are very good. Staff...
