Great place throughout the year. There is a one mile tarmacked walk suitable whatever the weather. A walk in the woods is a must. Last time I went I watched a buzzard being chased through the trees by two crows, that was very special. Lots of dog walkers particularly at weekends. Large car park and spotless toilets.

Brereton Heath Local Nature Reserve is wonderful and can be enjoyed in many different ways all the year round. In the school holidays when the sun shines it will be full of school children exploring nature or generally enjoying themselves. Some people visit just to walk their dogs and to enjoy the scenery and others visit to keep fit by... More

It is a lovely setting and the walk around the lake is very flat . Interesting wood sculptures around the lake and in the woodland areas . great for picnics and dog friendly .

A lovely local nature reserve. Small indoor information point. Toilets onsite, along with coffee and ice cream van, although this is not always here. I've been at weekends during the summer and its there, but mid week cannot guarantee it. Cheap pay car park, which helps the upkeep of the reserve. Takes approx 30/40 mins on a gentle pace to... Enjoyed a mid week stroll around the lake. Water was clear and full of fish (pike?) Car park £2, loos and friendly locals made it a pleasurable hour and a half.

This is a lovely place to walk after being at work all day. Large car park (pay & display) and clean toilets. There is the main trail around the lake and also trails into the woodland areas. Perfect if you enjoy bird watching or your dog likes to explore! Also areas of open grassland around the route where you can... More

Was informed of this site by a shop keeper in sandbach , what a delightful place. Plenty of paths to walk your dog but be careful of the ones running around off their leaders as not all owners are bothered if their 'pet' attacks yours.
