Just returned from our first visit to Carnegie. Great atmosphere, nice bar area and the theatre is amazing - the sound was unbelievable in the old building. The Floyd Effect were the band and we'll be back for other music events shortly. Effective air conditioning would have given it a score of five.

Hi Andrew. Thanks for your review. Great to hear the positive comments. We really do recognise air conditioning would help. You hit the nail on the head that it's an old Grade II Listed Building but that said we're about to start a project looking at the building and identifying improvements we wish to make if we can get the funding. We'll make sure air conditioning is on the list. Thanks for your visit and hope to see you at the Carnegie real soon!

Carnegie Hall is a lovely little theatre. The stage is quite large compared to the number of seats. The shape of the stage reminded me of the shape of an old style jukebox.
I saw a fantastic concert by Showaddywaddy. Carnegie Hall encouraged a very relaxed atmosphere in the audience by allowing dancing to the songs from the outset. The theatre does have a bar.
One thing to be aware of, is that the surrounding streets parking are covered by a disc system until 6pm. The discs are free, and can be obtained from a nearby post office.

Thanks for your review David. Great to read. Parking is unfortunately one of those areas we’re quite restricted on but we make up for it on the inside 🙂

We went to a concert and being disabled I called as our seats were in the circle.
The Duty Manager was so very nice and changed them for seats in the stalls as they dont have a lift.
Everyone from the cafe staff ticketbox and ushers were truly great.
Its a lovely theatre run by lovely staff and volunteers.
We will definitely return.
Thank you

Went to a Neil Diamond Tribute night and it was very good indeed, bar prices are not bad and you can book a pre show meal on some occasions too

Expected a bit more from our visit here as we had heard it has been refurbished. Lack of toilet facilities in such a place is daft and can mean a 15 minute wait whether you are male or female makes for a great deal of frustration! There are 4 for women and roughly the same for men. It holds about 300 people.........
My seat also was a disappointment, no mention 9f a somewhat restricted view. Such a disappointment.

I had not been in this theatre since childhood when it seemed so big. It’s a lovely little theatre & the Dirty Dancing tribute was excellent. The staff were really nice. We had pre theatre drinks in the bar & ordered some for the interval, so a good night was had by all

This cosy quirky little theatre is perfect for seeing stand up comedy . I went with a friend to see Dave Spikey . The theatre is small and it was like having the act in your living room. Fabulous ,you don't need a huge screen to see the act they are just a few feet away . Need more venues like this , lovely little bar area for the interval ,well worth a visit.
