Spent a couple of hours along the edge after climbing up from the road, stunning, breath taking, but very accessible well maintained paths to the edge, kids would love it. Incredible

Not far from Sheffield, just round the corner from the Foxhouse Pub. Great place for a Sunday walk, although it may be a bit crowded on a Sunday or bank holiday. Biggest disadvantage is you have to pay for the car park. Stunning views into...More

We walked along Stanage on our way to Hathersage for the eveing. There were lots of climbers, paragliders, walkers and runners enjoying the bracing fresh air and stunning views. Fabulous place for a day out.

The top rock climbing area in Derbyshire with around 2000 routes on perfect Millstone grit. Wonderful area for walking and fell running with fantastic views.

Fabulous views from the top of the Edge. Maps and directions not really needed because there were plenty of people doing the same walk and many locals around to ask directions. We walked about 10 miles in all but we were lucky with the weather....More

A family walk before lunch. Parking is basically on the side of the road. Lots of people learning to climb up the rock face. It’s certainly good for a walk. Climb is gentle. One you reach the top (20 minutes) there are fabulous views across...More

Not sure about the car park, certainly there's nothing near the top of the ridge. There isn't a way to the top that I would think suitable for anyone who didn't want to walk much. There is a less steep path but it is a... More
