If you are interested in animals, especially in bats, this is the place for you. Lots of flying foxes and micro bats. Lot of good information about the bats. They really do look like dogs!

I'm always thankful for people who are able to come back in the afternoons as that is the very best time to see the bats and get the most out of the experience at the Bat Hospital. Thank you for the wonderful review. More

The guided tour of this bat rescue centre was a highlight of our trip to Australia. We learned so much about the risks to the bat population, how important they are to the ecosystem, and the important work that this facility is doing to rescue, rehabilitate and release bats back into their enviornment. We would highly recommend this activity for... More

My partner and I went on spec to the bat hospital and even though we should have booked the tour we were able to attend the next tour. The lady who took us around was very passionate about the bats and was able to impart her knowledge in an excellent way. I'm usually quite skeptical about seeing animals in captivity... More

My family and I visited a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity! We were all engaged and interested, seeing the care taken to rehabilitate injured bats, and to learn about their role in the ecosystem.

Thanks Jenny for sharing your experience and helping us better understand micro and macro bats! This visit was prompted by another trip advisor recommendation - and we're glad we stopped by... We watched an introductory video, then were led around the hospital to observe about half a dozen different types of bats. The care and attention given to them in... More

Jeeny spent just under two hours with us - we asked her to double the tour (usually her tours go from 45mins to 1hr 30mins). Jeeny doesn't brag about herself enough, she says it's all for the bats & if it helps them, it helps her. Jeenys' passion for bats started somewhere near the 1990's, once her father passed she... If you have a keen interest in bats then you should make a point to visit Tolga Bat Hospital. They run hour long tours in the afternoon where you learn about bats, the hospital and it's work, and then you get to meet the residents. We toured the microbat enclosure and learned about the few who were housed in there,... More

I took visiting relatives for a visit today....first time for me, as well. Our Bat Guide, Jenny, showed us many different types of bats, and bats of different ages and stages of recovery. They were extremely interesting and very cute. The short film we were shown on arrival was very interesting and informative. Jenny was extremely friendly and likeable, and... More
