Had the best fishing day out last week, we caught heaps of fish including a couple of big barras! I really liked that Mark went out of his way to help us improve our fishing technique which undoubtedly helped us land so many fish. Now we cant wait to go out again with Mark next month when we head back... More

Myself and my son Jed met Mark at the ramp at 630, after Mark caught some live bait fish he recommended we head offshore as the weather was perfect. We headed out and fished with live bait, Jed caught a nice GT, a total surprise as we were fishing for Spanish Mackreall. We fished with poppers for a while before... More

Enjoyed a really peaceful boat trip up the Endeavour River, through the mangroves and paperbark. Beautiful way to see a little of the wilderness. Mark has a small boat that proved perfect for getting up close to the action. We saw so many of the Sacred Kingfisher and Bee-eaters. Some big crocs up the river and some lovely river bends.... Day One fishing the Endeavour River with live baits. Great Mangrove Jacks and a host of other species. Mark certainly knows this river system. Day Two was going to be a Lure day, but when we launched it was a very calm day and Mark suggested a run outside. Boy was he spot on Fun with poppers, then a bit... More

Myself and 4 mates recently spent 2 days fishing with Mark from Gone Fishing - Cooktown and we all had a fantastic experience. Conditions weren't great but the experience and local knowledge of Mark ensured that we had a great time and caught fish! 2 of us were extremely inexperienced - no idea really - while one had a good... I approached a guide in this same vessel as pictured at the Cooktown town ramp in April 2016. Mind you his clients had not yet turned up as yet and he was just warming up the boat motor whilst moored at the ramp. All I really wanted was a card and available dates. Myself and my two young children were... More

There was no interaction other than "Good Morning", as you know it is an obvious attempt to drag down our ratings and recommend another operator. More

Had a great morning fishing with Mark on the reef throwing poppers around for GT and other fish. Hooked up on big fish but got busted off on the reef. Not so successful in the river for Barra but that's fishing.

Mark is a great guide and very friendly bloke. Unlucky fishing while we were there. Bad tides etc and fish just weren't biting regardless what Mark tried. We could see them on the finder and even in the mangroves but just not lucky enough. We caught enough to keep us happy and enjoyed our time on the water. Was never... More
