We spent a day on Magnetic Island and went for a swim at horseshoe bay as well as a walk around the markets . The markets were small but some nice things to look at . I found some lovely beeswax wraps to purchase and left with s nice feel.

I love the market with the stalls and the sound of the Steel Drums playing, yachts bobbing in the ocean and the locals and tourists enjoying themselves. I see some fairly petty complaints about this market, which is on one of the most picturesque beaches in north Queensland. This is a beautiful market on an island with a population of... More

What a load of junk for an island market that could offer beautiful local pieces. We bought from the lady who does the glass earrings and her jewellery is stunning and different but the rest of the junk there I could buy online.

Plenty of marquees but not a big variety of goods. Lots of jewellery if youre into that, but not a lot to take home as a souvenir.

The market had about 10-15 stalls. There was not much of a stall but for an island it would have been massive. There was a massage stall, a lot of amazing local artists selling their work and the usual beach clothes shops and beach jewelry. Overall it was just nice to have a look and wonder around supporting the locals.... More

This is a small, occasional market (twice a month, more or less, depending on the season) which is pleasant in many ways. It's right on the beach at Horseshoe Bay, with all the amenities of the park. Most of the stall holders are local residents and most of their goods are hand made. Parking can be a problem, so it... More

Not a wide variety of goods, but there is an Asian food stall which is great. Location is picture perfect. On the beach front with a pub across the road. Whilst not up there as markets are concerned, it is still worth a visit as the location is spot on

Was a bit disappointed with my visit to the Horseshoe Bay markets. I normally don't leave a market without making even the smallest purchase, but we walked the length of the markets in minutes and found nothing of interest. There was a local artisan with beautiful ceramic wares but the rest of the stalls - tie-dye clothing, shell jewellery and... More
