Here is yet another amazing waterfall and National Park (Paluma Range) in FNQ. Heading north from Townsville towards Ingham you turn left and travel along a red dirt road for a few kilometres. You then come to a carpark and picnic area, but don't stop here, keep driving past the caravan park (look out for wallabies and wild pigs -... More

Very nice place, it did however have many mosquitos so take repellent if going. The road was rough in places but does not require a 4wd. This is a family friendly place and everyone around the area seemed very lovely

Waterfall was stunning as is the walk to lookout. Would be hard on small children and elderly. Clean water and running beautiful.

We visited Jourama falls on 30 Jan 2017. The trek up to the falls is somewhat steep for 450 meters but easily accessible with walkways. Don't forget the bug spray!! Plenty of mosquitoes. We crossed a baby tree snake. The lookout is beautiful even though the falls aren't 'full' in size. We passed many families on the hike with little... More

Lovely spot to go for a picnic, with swimming hole next to picnic area. The walk to waterfall is 3kms return but is worth it if you can hike uphill for 600m. Lovely spots to sit on the way to the lookout. Little three year old did the walk without being carried, but I, her nana couldn't do the final... More

We have visited the falls 3 times now and love it here. It is so relaxing with good walks and lots of birds. Watch out for snakes. Each time we have done the walk to the look-out we have spotted nasty snakes so take care. The toilets are drop ones, but clean. There is a cold shower for those without... More

We went up to Jourama Falls just over a week ago when we were driving from Townsville to Cairns. The hike was not challenging which was fine but we had some great views, stretched our legs and got some fresh air. There are some nice rock pools by the falls with a surprising number of people in them, just when... More

Have been to Jourama a few times and I'm yet to see it at its best. The falls are quite a way in (1-2km) over fairly walking paths but they are up and down a lot. There is a point where the track crosses the creek - and there are some nice swimming pools here - but access to the... More

This is an easily accessible area with an excellent camping ground. We just did an afternoon and it was so beautiful. The walk to the junction of the rock pools and lookout track was really beautiful with a variety of habitats. Being winter and with little rain I didn't think the extra hike to the viewing platform was worth it... More
