A huge disappointment. We looked at the website and saw it had a train ride and animals as well as the pineapple itself. Knowing that the train didn't run in bad weather we headed out one day which had been a little wet but not bad and what a disappointment. The car park has no signs in it, there's some... More

Was disappointed to find the big pineapple closed and apparently had been for years. Was a spectacular place from my childhood and was hoping to share with my nephew. The actual big pineapple is badly run down and leaking when rains.

The Big Pineapple is an Australian icon that could use some TLC. Unmissable on the roadside at Nambour, it is really showing its age and could do with some attention. The train ride and commentary is rather good and educational for the kids. Don't know how much longer it will last so see it while you can.

Happy to pay $5 for the cute little train ride around the property and support an Australian icon, but I probably wouldn't go too far out of your way. The big pineapple is in good condition and you can climb it and the displays inside about pineapple processing are dated to the point of almost being cute and kitsch again!... More

After coming to the Big Pineapple as a child I enjoyed visiting again to take a few photos... I would recommending visiting on a Saturday as I believe the farmers market is on that day. I didn't go on the train ride but I did try the Pineapple sundae which was very nice... It is a little run down but... More

Train left early - not at scheduled time without us leaving our 4 year olds upset and staff could not care less. Very unimpressed with entire set up

Both my husband & I remember coming to The Big Pineapple as kids but haven't been for many, many years but was holidaying in the area so thought to check it out. It definitely has changed & is much quieter but we see the potential there! We had a pie & drink there & went on the train ride &... More

This place has so much potential but it needs some love. It has a great little train ride at a bargain $5 per person for a 30 minute trip around the farm. There is a zoo with numerous animals but as we were too time poor we did not visit it. The train however gave a glimpse of what may... More

We haven't been for a few years but it is mostly closed down which is such a pity it really needs to go to fresh hands to bring it up to a tourist attraction but until then unless you want a train ride don't bother
