The main attraction for tourists visiting this National Park is the Curtain Fig Tree. Easily accessible and a very short walk from the car park, the tree, which is part of a dense rain forest community, is huge and awe-inspiring. Interpretive information at the viewing platform is very useful and easy to understand. I am thankful for all our National... More

This is on the tourist circuit, so is an easy stopover on the way down the mountain. There is an easily accessed boardwalk to right amongst the trees. the Curtain Fig is an excellent example of this tree, which is found throughout the rainforests, but not as easily accessible as this one.

So so sad its isolated in a virtual island amongst the farmland. How great and amazing the tablelands must have been in the 1800s. Wold class, like something from Avatar!

Visited a 300 plus year old Curtain Fig tree ...interesting! The walkway took us around the very large tree and was just amazed at all the vines and its size. A must see!

We saw this turn off when traveling back from Yungaburra and decided to drive in as it wasn't far off the highway. Glad we did as we enjoyed the scenic walk around the fig. We were hoping to see tree kangaroos but didn't. Amazing trees.

Wonderfull short stop attraction... we stayed in tthe Yungbarra Park Motel, walking or by car the 1,7 km. ... I think these trees are amazing... the whole complexity of the nature is making us people small. Free parking, No admission, 5 min. walking to the tree. Enjoy!
