Great for 4WDs
May 2021 • Friends
Great spot for an adventure, it’s a good idea to speak to locals before you go out if you don’t know it to well. Make sure you have a 4WD, the early camping is good for any type of vehicle but from the on out it’s suggested 4WD for further exploring, very rocky and sandy. The camping area is definitely secluded and the toilets and long drops but it’s great photography, great walking trails and look outs.

Magical
May 2021
A fabulous place to visit with magnificent views and stunning photographic opportunities. One must obtain a permit to visit the park and that can be purchased online or at the Ranger's office just inside the park.

Very rough 4WD track
Jun 2021
Warning - the 4 WD track after Yangie campground is really terrible - average speed 10km/hr. Rough sections of rock, water across the track, very corrugated deep sand sections, very narrow with few opportunities to pass or turn around.
We drove in to do the Black Springs walk and Black Rock track. The Black Springs walk is an easy and pretty walk along the coast to a perfect little beach. The Black Rock track is pretty boring - about a 60 minute walk through scrub to the coast. The coastal cliffs are spectacular if you haven't seen the cliffs around Streaky bay, etc. The track is poorly marked and we got sidetracked a few times and had to backtrack.

White sandy beaches
Jun 2021
Loved the coastal scenery, crystal clear waters with beautiful white sandy beaches. Lots of 4wd tracks and places to get off and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Saw lots of wildlife as well. The only small complaint is not enough sign posting.

4wd and walked and still couldn't get enough of this place. White beaches as far as the eye could see and crystal blue water.

Beautiful beach and surrounds
Mar 2021
We got our pass from Port Lincoln Info Centre. Went to Almonta Beach. It is stunning. Not many people there. We were advised not to swim because of a strong undercurrent. Sealed roads up until the last 500 metres. Sand dunes to climb to get on and off the beach but definitely worth the walk.

Rugged coastline

The drive around the park had amazing views from calm waters to rough seas, rugged cliffs, beautiful beaches. Definitely worth the drive. Camping area looks sheltered with basic Amelia d lots of spaces. Enjoyed our day!

Great place to visit to see the Eyre Peninsula with it's rugged coasts and wildlife. You would be very unlucky to not see kangaroos and emus
