Be ready to climb lots of stairs - but it is worth it! They have done a great job of making the self-guided tour fun and educational. This is a huge ship, try to imagine being one of the crew or guests! Very nicely done!

Great thing to interest kids for 90 or so minutes. Pretty thorough tour of a classic working ship, literally from stem to stern.

I personally loved this! It was an unexpected gem, an add on admission to the Great Lakes Science Center. Really cool self guided tour. You follow the stripe path on the floor and you get to see a huge portion of this ginormous ship. There...More

I really enjoyed the Mather after my R&R Hall of Fame. Some of the staff were very knowledgeable about the ship and it's history.

I'd allow around 2 hours, but that's just me. It certainly can be done in less time.
