Stopped in while walking around downtown. This historic building is beautifully maintained. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed over 200 unique chess sets on display in one of the reading rooms. And it's free!

There are actually two buildings comprising the public library. There was an exhibit of Superman which I found to be informative. The older building is beautiful and a great place for a library.

The sculpures name is Tom Otterness. The statues are depicting tiny library patrons. Some are carrying books, reading, climbing, or carrying letters. They are awfully cute and inviting to library visitors young and old alike.
