I make a point of supporting independent bookstores wherever I travel. It is possible that The Book Loft is my favorite yet! The courtyard is so pleasant. The store’s layout is unique and fun to explore. The prices were very reasonable and sometimes a downright...More

The Book Loft is an experience not just a shopping trip. You can plan to tour by going room to room, or find specific treasures. My husband and I actually went for a Valentine's date and spent 2 hours exploring, and I always bring family...More

Absolutely not to be missed if you love independent bookstores. A labyrinth of books, greeting cards, and ephemera. A bit tricky to navigate; I prefer more organized shelves, but a great fun place to browse!

Great store with tens of thousands of books. Everything is well-ordered by category so it's really easy to browse and find the sections that interest you. Both new books (mostly remainders at a deep discount) and used. Nice place to wander and find something new...More

You will find a book you want here. Probably several. There are so few great books stores left today- forgot what it was like to wander through the stacks and actually pick up books. Very cute courtyard.

I now have 2 places that I like to go by myself and get lost. 1. Target- duh and 2. The Book Loft. It's a maze also so take their complimentary free map. It would be great if they served beer though...

You must check this place out if you visit German Village. The courtyard is beautiful and the book store is amazing. 32 rooms of books. They have everything. But, be careful, you can get lost in there. Stop here even if you do not read!

Fun little book store in a historical area. Beautiful outdoor garden and patio area with lots of flowers and water fountains. Right next to a good coffee shop. It reminded me of a little bookstore in Paris called Shakespeare. Especially as you make your way...More

I think not as well. It is locally owned. Give them a call. It will be a nice gift either way.
