Attended the Asian festival, held Saturday and Sunday of Memorial weekend - an annual event. This festival is free and open to the public, on the grounds of the botanical gardens. Lots of really interesting entertainment. Plenty of food to sample. A great place to get information on future travel. Festival or not, Franklin Park Conservatory is a treasure in... More

Took my 8-year old grandson who loves science. He enjoyed the butterflies, especially when one lighted on him. The tulips outside, the cacti, and the palm house were also highlights for him but I think what he liked the most was the plant kaleidescope. We spent as much time there as the butterflies, I think.

Each city in America has their own botanical garden & for the city of Columbus it's Franklin Park Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. Located east of downtown, the conservatory is a beautiful collection of displays both inside & outside the grounds. There always various exhibits within the grounds and at present is one of topiaries which are spread throughout the exhibits.... More

Whether you spend time inside the conservatory or walking the grounds outside, it's an excellent way to spend the afternoon. There are multiple environments to walk through in the conservatory and random pieces of chihuly glass are scattered throughout the building. You should also make time to visit the outdoor hot shop, where you can watch glassblowers at work. Just... More

The conservatory was wonderful but I did have one complaint. They did not have all of the plants labeled. Some were but most of them were not. So many times you wondered what you were looking at. I'm would be great if they labeled more items. We went during the butterfly exhibit and it was beautiful to see all of... More

The gardens and conservatory are great. There are rooms and areas that are all done by category and a great butterfly garden. We found that there were a lot of photo opportunities. They had a very informative glass blowing demo while we were there. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon and the fee to get in was... More
