Very interesting tour! They are a bit persnickety about making sure there is a minimum number of people to take a tour, so you definitely need to call ahead first. We enjoyed the tour and the owner is very animated and funny. He interacts well...More

I am going to be honest, when I got there I said...."This is it?" BUT, the tour was AMAZING so do not judge a book by its cover. This is a small working factory with less than 10 employees. The whole place is smaller than...More

Stopped by the American Whistle Corp. in hopes of checking out the facility via a tour. Disappointed that all tours are at the mercy of groups only. Needless to say my wife and I were cordially turned away. Bummer! So if you're planning a visit...More

Kids liked it much more than I thought ! Easy in, inexpensive ($4) relatively quick (30 minutes), and a free whistle at the end. Plus, the owner of the company, who gives the tour with a speaker, has some really interesting, and really funny lines....More

Brief tour - 45 mins or so; the owner who did it gave a tour that managed to be fun for kids AND extremely informative (if you're listening carefully) about a wide range of business topics - competitive advantage, price differentiation, economies of scale, avoidance...More

Today I took my summer camp to tour the Whistle Factory. The owner himself gave the tour and spent most of the time bragging about himself and the company instead of telling us how whistles are made. Pretty sure the "free whistle" you get at...More

My daughter's school toured here years ago and found it interesting and fun. They make whistles for important events and have some in their museum part. You can also tour the factor, or could back then. Their whistles were top notch and a good safety...More

We stumbled upon the American Whistle Factory tour when thumbing through a visitor's guide of the area. We decided it was something out of the ordinary to do and it sounded like fun. We called and arranged to be added to another group tour since...More

This is an excellent tour of a whistle manufacturing plant. The only metal whistle factory in the United State. The guide was extremely informative and gave great information on the tour, as well as answering questions. We were with a group of first graders and...More

Can people come in and see the store without the tour?

The factory lobby is open during normal business hours, Monday through Friday and they welcome walk-in customers. It is not much of an "attraction to see" without doing the tour, but there is a display case where purchases... More
