NEIL ISLAND An ideal island for eco-tourism in Andaman Islands, with plenty of marine life. Neil Island is known as the ‘vegetable bowl’ of the Andamans. As a tourist destination, Neil Island is no longer just a backpacker attraction. Over the last few years, many luxury resorts have sprung up, catering to tourists looking for all kinds of a holiday.

The thunder of Andaman is stolen by Havelock, but Neil is more beautiful. Its much less commercial, extremely quiet and has pristine beaches. Yes, you wont get many options to eat out, or dive shops at every corner, but Bharatpur (you can go in as far as 500 mts into the sea) & Laxmanpur beaches are breathtaking. Do not skip.
Is it possible to go to the Neil Island without package tour? Or the boats do not take individuals separately?
Which is a better diving spot for beginners? Neil or Havelock? Any suggestions would be helpful..
