first timers can be fleeced by unsuspecting friendly priests who offer to take you through a short cut to see the deity above the cave. Its actually free if you walk in yourself. The queues do get long so getting there early is the trick.

Hi Gargi, At Kamakhya temple you need not climb stairs or hill. All the vehicles go upto the parking place of the temple. So your mother can very comfortably reach the temple and have darshan. However, the main temple is in... More

Hi Sunil The temple us abiut 5.5km From d railway station , depending on your budget u can book any hotel in pan bazar Or Paltan bazar Area. Options of hotels near d temple is non existent. U will not face ny problem in... More

Special darshan tickets are priced at 500 rupees and needs to be purchased over the counter within the temple complex. No queue to purchase this tickets over the counter.
