Its actually a book that was sold that provided better historic details about the existence of the temple.. Unfortunately temple is not at all well-kept. Toilets are problem.. none there.. and people pee near the river/stream running behind the temple... Don't see how much swach...More

The temple area is well situated admist nature, a river flows and lots of birds and animals roamong around in the premise yet the atmosphere is very peaceful and calming!

The place where sage Vashishta took samadhi and became a rock which is still there. Vashishta's three riverine daughters flow first into a kund and then together as a stream from here. The stream appears to be a great picnic spot as well.

It is good place to visit after Kamakhya temple. Specially there is water fall which will feel good for children and family.
