Saraighat the one of the oldest bridge in Assam which was opened by then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. It was first rail cum road bridge in assam. Also the latest addition of new Saraighat bridge enhances the beauty of it.

Old steel bridge for vehicles and trains on two decks. Just like any other bridge which connects north and south Guwahati. One has to travel through this bridge to reach IIT.

This is one of the beautiful bridges I have been to. It's around 2 Kms long and the view of Brahmaputra river is breathtaking.. I live in Guwahati so it's a treat for me go on this bridge .

This is the first bridge biult over Brahmaputra in Guwahati by the British colonial rule. It si a rail cum road bridge. Well a new one has been constructed side by side to compliment the old one.
