This giant monolith statue is sculpted with great precision. I would recommend this has a must visit. The challenge is one needs to climb the hill that has alteast 600+ steps. The view from the hill is also great with entire town seen.

You have to change bus at Channaraypatna. Hassan which is 1 hour bus from CHannaraypatna is better place to leave. Shravanabelgola might have some accomodation as it is pilgrimage for Jains, but sometimes only for Jains.
