We had lunch here and it was delicious. Then got a tour of one of the rooms, simply amazing. I would book a room in the future if I return.

Wonderful old fort. You have to be a guest at the hotel to be shown round. A most interesting place. You felt that it was a privilege to be there.

We spent one night here. That is enough,there is a lovely town for a wander around,the fort takes an hr to explore and photograph. It's a relaxed stopover. The staff struggle,but get the job done. Food okay,no choice elsewhere

In relation to other places in India to visit this is just a waste of a day. Unless of course this type of architecture is of personal interest.

Kishangarh was founded by the Jodhpur prince Kishan Singh in 1609. Before this it was part of kingdom of Maharaja Samokhan Singh who was a distant relative of Kishan Singh's family. The Kishangarh Fort is situated at 27 km from the city of Ajmer in Rajasthan.This fort is home to several ancient monuments and miniature paintings like Bani Thani ,It is also one of the special specimens displaying the old Indian architectural style, in Rajasthan.

While our back journey from Jaipur to Ahmedabad, we decided to visit this fort at Kishangarh just before 30 km from Ajmer as it was just near to Jaipur-Ajmer highway.
