A calm and serene place.Dont go expecting any magical views.Whatever the trend of migratory birds you can have a can get a clear picture from this visit. The impact of climate change including.Good thing is that there is no boating or anything that disturbs the birds. And I appreciate the locals for identifying and preserving such a beautiful place

This is located 15 km away from Chennai - Tirchy highway. Take right at Kolambakkam while coming from chennai. Very Beautiful bird Sanctuary with lot of birds flying around. Tower is arranged inside the sanctuary for visitors. Maintenance and cleanness is very very nice.

Well maintained medium sized bird sanctuary. Not crowded on a Monday afternoon. We spent 3 hours there. Shady paths, great view points, including a small tower. Plenty of painted storks, pelicans and many others easily seen. Entry 5 rupees, car park 30 rupees

Together with our friends we had an outing at the bird sanctuary. We could see a lot of pelicans and storks. Birds staying in their natural habitat was a wonderful sight. View from the watchtower is great. There are ample places to sit down and watch the birds. You should take your own food and snacks as outside only water... More
