Such a fun afternoon! I don’t know which was more fun, getting to walk through the dog yard petting all the dogs of the dogsled on wheels. I love that they have you get the dogs and hook them up and then return them at...More
The organization is good, the dogs loveable and the guide nice.
I went alone and teamed up with Astrid, she was really nice and explain a lot to us, about the dogs or the city.
That really was my best moment in the city, I...More
I disembarked a cruise at 8am in the morning, and one of my fellow travellers had raved about her experience before the cruise, with Svalbard Husky. So I booked with them via my hotel reception for the afternoon. And I also had a wonderful time....More
Dog sledding is a bucket list item for me and although it was summer and I went in a trollcart, it counts. If you don't love dogs, this may not be for you. There are 100+ dogs that live outdoors and are a bit odoriferous....More
We literally just finished our morning with the huskies, and I’m already in here dropping a review because I had such a great time. I really loved being involved in the whole process of helping to fetch the dogs, putting on their harnesses and setting...More
Kennel owner Audun’s love for his dogs is simply heart warming. We’ve done dogsledding before. But this kennel was unique. And so was Audun. He first let us get to know the dogs so we could cuddle them and give some bellyrubs. After a short...More
This was a wonderful experience and a fantastic way to end our stay in Longyearbyen.
It was a true hands on activity, and I loved driving the huskies across the snow as much as I enjoyed being driven.
The dogs are super friendly and super...More
Dog sledding with Huskies is obviously an amazing activity. The kennel used by Svalbard Husky is located deep in Adventdalen, by mine 6 so you start your adventure far from the town in a beautiful surroundings. The trip down the valley takes approximately 4 hours....More
This dog sled tour turned out to be a nightmare for my family. Safety standards are very poor in the area of the dog pickup. The exit gate is very narrow and the sled on which my wife and my son were present after taking...More

Hello dear Sachin.
We are very sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience here on Svalbard. We did some research and understood that you had a trip back in the summer of 2017

If you want a unique experience in this part of the world I thoroughly recommend this company. The owner, Audun, is passionate about his dogs and this is evident throughout the trip in the way he talks about them and cares for them. You get...More

They do trips with husky wagons in the summer months when the snow is too watery for it to be fun; the main office is about 10 mins walk from the Cruise Terminal (they can probably pick up; they certainly did from the hotel), and the Huskey park in Adventsdalen is about 15 mins drive away. Really amazing experience, friendly guides and lovely dogs. If possible take some time at the end to get to know the dogs, help feed them and look at the puppies.
