A wonderful setting and ceremony. The reason was because the local register office was closed that two weeks for refurbishment. Plenty of room for evenyone and the gardens are immaculately kept Throughout the year certain attractions are held and should be looked into. I joined a friend last year to help raise money for charity for a table top .... More

A real manor house in the centre of ordinary houses. If it was not signposted you would miss it. Beautiful décor and atmosphere. Café for a light snack and a cuppa. Nice gardens. Free entry and parking. worth a visit and there are themed days on occasion.

Not what you would expect to find in the middle of a council estate in Barking. Its a lovely old house which is open to the public and you can get married there.

This is a beautiful building, with a minimum of furniture so you can appreciate the structure. We came for one of the special cream teas, sitting in the summer parlour, can't recommend the food too highly, we had a wonderful afternoon, thanks to everyone there.

We wanted to visit a NT property on Sunday, not too far away so picked this - pleasant surprise! When you enter it looks empty and not too interesting but the tour brings it all to life. Our guide David was enthusiastic and pointed out things you wouldn't notice on your own. It took about 90 mins, inside and outside.... More

We visited on a Sunday, volunteers were very helpful. House is impressive, so big. Enjoyed the upper floor the most. Recommended

We went to Eastbury Manor House with our English friends last Sunday and enjoyed a good lunch and an enjoyable and informative visit. Well done to those organisations preserving these old dwellings and to their volunteers for their helpful contributions in providing the background history.

Went here yesterday as part of Open House London. It has a lovely exterior and it's interesting to see how incongruous it looks amongst all the surrounding suburban houses; one has to marvel this was once all countryside. The interior is pretty sparse and I was disappointed at that but the home has gone through multiple owners so that can... More

This house is largely unfurnished so the visitor can appreciate the building's structure. We had an excellent tour from Maurice who explained the skills of the carpenters in managing the dynamics of the weight of the timber. The wall paintings are particularly interesting, Maurice drawing our attention to the fine detail. There are lots of interesting photographs and supporting material about... More
