Fun and friendly
Sep 2021 • Family
Having read all the negative reviews I was in 2 minds whether to go………I am glad I did, we had a great time. It is not very big but great value for money. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful, the bouncy castles, giant Lego and entertainment were a big hit with our four year old, not sure if they are permanently there or still there from the kids fest and there whole place was very clean and tidy. If it were a little closer we would definitely visit more often.

Disappointing
Aug 2021 • Family
I was extremely disappointed with my trip to Lee Valley kid fest. We was spoken to by the staff in an extremely rude manner, when I complained about the fact they could not provide first aid for my son, they then got a cold pack and mustard.... Yep mustard, instead of vinegar, dumped it in my hand, did not ask how my son was and walked away, won't be going back. I hope anyone that decides to go do not require first aid!!!!

We used to go to Lee Vally Park Farm with our eldest all the time, being relatively close it used to be a good morning/afternoon out some 10 years ago. But when the prices went up and the stock of animals went down, bird poop all over the childs play area we decided to give the place a miss and have done, even for our youngest child now 7!
We heard there was a festival happening at the farm for the summer holidays, we thought we would give the place another go!
Unfortunately we were disappointed again, the animal areas are tired and have not been upgraded in the last 10 years, the chickens seemed to be none excitant, the good part of the milking section no more! Holes in the foot path just filled with Bricks in a hope no one will fall! An occasional sign in place in a hope no one will sue!
If your looking for the farm experience give the place a miss. you will get more from the free pets corner in Harlow town park!
The festival attractions were ok, plenty of bouncy castles but a small area not big enough for the amount of children for the foam party! Arts and crafts area unsupervised = no arts and crafts!
Best part for us was the 20/25 minute princess sing along. Stage staff gave it their all , but was a bit hit and miss on timings. When we arrived, staff on the search for the stage staff to get on stage!!
Sorry to say this place needs some TLC and investment before we come back and management to step in and give some leadership to younger staff, who really are trying their best. :-(

Great day out
Aug 2021 • Family
What a great place to visit. Not huge but a hidden gem. The animals were all happy. The entertainment was brilliant great for kids of all ages. There was glitter tattoos, balloon modellers and a foam party. Well worth a visit. We were visiting from Devon and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were great, all happy and friendly.

Disappointing day out
Jun 2021 • Family
If it’s a really nice warm day and you take your own food you’d still only give this place , at best a 3/5.

The truth is Lee valley farm is a very tired, overpriced attraction at this point. The animals seem well looked after but their pens/paddocks/whatever are just not suitable for public viewing. The food available on site is terrible and should be avoided and the kids playground and other points of interest are run down and badly maintained.

This place is dining out on the masses of parents desperate to entertain their kids without any return on the promise of a fun day at the farm.

Essex is full of better options.

Not enough to see
Jun 2021 • Family
For a family of 4 this was too expensive for what was on offer. Goats , Pigs , donkeys , meerkats , one highland cow a few rabbits , a few guinea pigs and some small animals . Not a chicken insight . Coffee , ice lollies overpriced .
Only good point was the sand play area .

Don’t go!

Huge disappointment, hardly any animals and after an hour and a half of waiting for 2 burgers we asked for a refund. Took email address, no refund as of yet. As for covid measures, non existent. Only upside was the weather.

Excellent day out

EXCELLENT FARM - our first visit to the farm today with my young family and we are SO PLEASED we went.

All the staff were exceptional and are a credit to the farm.

Wonderful food and great value too. Lovely gift shop, great selection.

Felt very COVID safe as there are signs everywhere telling you to keep apart, hand washing stations everywhere, gel sanitisers everywhere and masks had to be worn in all indoor areas.

The kids loved seeing all the lovely animals (see photos) after lockdown it was great being in contact with nature again.

The Dino event was amazing and it was obvious that a lot of hard work went into the event.

After this visit we will definitely be visiting again. WELL DONE LEE VALLEY FARM

Don’t go

I visited the farm with my daughters and grandchildren on Thursday what a disappointment it was !!! No animals well not nearly as many before covid. No aces to the cows and nothing to advertise this fact. Hugely disappointed children.
The farm was packed clearly no covid measures in place. Disgusting
The overflow car park was dangerous - just a money making farm !!!!!
Only 1 toilet facility in the farm part.
