I like going to the Lowry often to either buy gifts or for lunch. Its very easy to pop in and very relaxing compared to other shopping complexes. Recently I have visited a lot less as I do not want to pay £1 parking just to get lunch and too far to walk in a lunch break. I also paid... More

The gallery contains a really good Lowry exhibition which shows he could paint and draw a variety of subjects and not only factoryscapes. It also gave us a bit of insight into the man. The building is interesting and the Salford Quays area/media city worth a walk round anyway.

A great place to see Blood Brothers. This is the second production we have seen at the Lowry and its a good modern venue. The restaurant is convenient but we didn't care for the food, but the service was good.

Christmas Market, oodles of shops. Cadbury's Chocolate Emporium. You want it, chances are they will sell it (Except the Flat Cap I wanted in brown) Christmas Market is not bad, just be careful of the Victorian Strong Men near the river. They do get quite boisterous and it is very cold for that sort of attire. (Their impressive Moustaches will... More

We visited to see Blood Brothers. There were issues with a disabled visitor sat near us who did not receive the service I would expect and it blocked the view of the person sat alongside me. The female toilets were so busy the queue was halfway up the hallway before the performance and during the interval. The lead actress got... More

The theatre is beautifully designed and modern inside, the restaurant offers decent food if a little expensive. It's a PIA when it's raining to cross the square from the shopping centre where the car park is, otherwise pray for sun!

This was a special visit for my husband's birthday, we were both delighted with the Lowry exhibition, wonderful to see the paintings so closely, and the talk about Lowry and his life was fascinating, if you're a fan, it's a must visit.
