A stunning ten acre garden restored by Australian garden designer Marylyn Abbott over the last twenty years. Combining a classical Lakefield design with a blend of formal and informal planting, English traditions and Australian flair, West Green offers intimacy and spectacle in a country setting. Access to the beautiful Victorian greenhouses is included and a visit to the formally planted vegetable garden is a must! West Green also offers a Tea Room and shop, is entirely accessible for those with limited mobility and each year hosts the West Green House Season of Music and Opera in July, Please note that West Green House is privately owned and not open to the general public.

Lovely sylvan gardens around a small lake, perfect in Spring, when there are masses of daffodils and fritillaries. A beautiful walled garden combines beauty and productivity. Keen gardeners would love it (esp if you want ideas for damp shade) and I have never seen so...More

A pleasant enough garden but not worth the entrance fee. Will need a few more years before it reaches maturity.

Visited on a slightly misty evening. The walled garden, greenhouses and orangery made magical with the illuminations and candlelight. Tea room warm and welcoming with good quality coffee and iced teabread. Found several unusual gifts in the Christmas Fair. As always, lovely visit to favourite...More

Not being a huge garden, I believe that choosing the best time of year, is even more important in the case of a visit to this attraction. Late spring has been my favourite time. A quiet, calm and interesting English garden that doesn't shout.

A lot of time and trouble taken to set up this attraction and some good innovations. Finished with very nice mulled wine in snack catering facility. If repeated next year needs better warning of small steps. Contrast between darkness and bright light makes them difficult...More

This makes a wonderful outing in the run up to Christmas. The garden is beautifully illuminated - very graceful and tasteful. And there is a Christmas shop with plenty of irresistibly appealing items. For their Christmas tea, don't think the usual cream tea. Think instead...More

Yes but it's a bit tricky getting through the shop and cafe and then into the gardens.
