The gardens change weekly so if your local it's well worth having an annual pass.On a nice day take a picnic. There are plenty of benches to stop and rest.A coffee shop in the gardens and another either at the start or end of your walk. Both have outside seating.Toilets available in both.Plenty of activity to keep children amused.

A tranquil treasure. A good walk, good food, great for families or oldies alike. Look for the horticulture or just enjoy!

My wife is a keen gardner and I like sculptures so this was a good place for both of us to visit. The gardens are impressive and the artworks on show were very interesting. Entry price was reasonable and the cafe was well stocked and obviously very popular.

We have been here many times and it never fails to disappoint, whatever time of year we go, there is always something to see. Even in busy times, the gardens are so spacious that it never feels crowded. The gardens are mainly well-maintained, mostly by volunteers, though perhaps they could do with a few more. The cafe offers reasonable snack... More

Sadly it was very heavy rain and I had my elderly Mother with me. Enjoyed a walk round the garden centre and the cake in the Cafe was delicious. Will visit again to experience the gardens.

Hopefully the weather will be kinder next time and you will be able to enjoy being out in the gardens. The Art in the Garden exhibition is now on with sculptures placed among the plants for added interest. More

Our afternoon trip to the garden was not long enough, we should have taken all day so much to see. outstanding Rhododendrons, a bit hard to find as they are over the road needs more sign posts. After our walk around a lovely cup of tea with cake in the well-appointed restaurant.

The rhododendrons and azaleas have been beautiful so we're pleased you were able to enjoy them and your tea. Signage is currently being reviewed so your experience will be noted. Hopefully we will see you again soon for you to enjoy more of the gardens. More

Hillier's gardens are world renowned landscaped gardens that are beautiful all year round, at the moment the azaleas are particularly stunning. Woodland, parkland, lakes and amazing floral borders will stun the senses. One extra feature is that every summer throughout the gardens space is offered to sculptures produced in many mediums, ceramic, wood, stone, wire, metal, glass and even willow... More

Relatives from Spain took me to the gardens last week. The weather was lovely, the gardens were lovely ... the café was NOT. After a leisurely walk around the beautiful gardens a light lunch was on the cards. Expectations were high, the place was light and airy and very busy. The menu was the norm; soup, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and... More

We're glad you enjoyed the gardens but sorry that you were unhappy with your lunch choices on this occasion. The Catering Manager has suggested that you contact him directly - the email is: info@hilliergardens.org.uk and 'For the attention of Terry' should be input in the subject bar. More
