As the name suggests, it's a cider maker, don't expect more

We stopped off briefly to get some 'proper' cider. Admittedly it was close to 5pm but the signs said open and they guy was happily chatting to another couple and giving them lots of tasters so we went into the tiny shop and browsed. Once the other couple (who had clearly received good service) had gone i asked if my... More

If you like cider this is the place for you. It is not big and there are no tours of the cider making facility. There is, however a shop which sells draught dry, medium and sweet cider plus Kingston Black. They also sell a range of bottled cider, cakes, jams and chutneys. Very pleasant staff in the shop and willing... More

Wasn't sure what to expect after reading mixed reviews but as we were in Burley that afternoon we decided to pop in. Easy place to find and a large car park although we walked from Burley (about 3 minutes!) It was nice to see the Apple orchard on the way in although it was fenced off so we couldn't have... More

From looking at the website and leaflets I was expecting a large farm with plenty of cider to sample and something to do but was extremely disappointed. The shop is tiny; an old stable behind the cafe with an unfriendly and unhelpful woman behind the counter. There is one barrel each of dry, medium and sweet and that is the... More

It's a place you can either pop into top up cider supplies. Or stay all afternoon to soak up the rural farm atmosphere. Orchards, animals and tastings. Great stuff. You'll know when you've arrived as you'll see wooden cider barrels on the side of the road in beautiful burley.

Yes that's right, on the counter in the shop they sold eggs, and those eggs were pretty delicious, delicious enough for me to leave a review about them. Can't comment on the cider as I'm not a fan of cider, but once again, damn good eggs!!

We stayed here through our BritStop guide. The location was perfect, with stunning walks in the New Forest on the doorstep. The owners were extremely friendly, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We sampled all of the various ciders available, and ended up buying several pints of the Kingston Black cider. The bistro-style cafe that... More
